What does AVID do for students?
Regardless of life circumstances, AVID students overcome obstacles and achieve success. They graduate and attend college at higher rates, enter the workforce more prepared and more importantly, they think critically, collaborate, and set high expectations to conquer the challenges that await them confidently. K-12 educators in HCSD3 are driving student success by creating engaging, rigorous, and student-centered learning environments.
Why did HCSD3 adopt AVID?
To utilize AVID as a system driver to close the opportunity gap by providing K-12 teachers and staff with consistent tools and best practices to be able to provide all students with opportunities and skills necessary to become career and college ready while prioritizing relationships so everyone can achieve their full potential.
